Susan Joyce Brown (née Bolt), 70, of Payne Springs went home to be with the Lord June 17, 2024. She was born Feb. 2, 1954, in Montrose, Calif., to the late John Albert Bolt and Madeline Elizabeth Weiseman. 
She worked at Mabank Brookshires for 32 years before retirement. She was a long-time member of Harbor Baptist Church. She truly cherished the Lord, spending time in prayer and enjoyed reading the Bible. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends but will be remembered with her smiles and laughter.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, son Wayne John Daley, Jr., sisters-in-law Susan Timson and Jeannette Watt and brother-in-law Ray Kirk. 
She is survived by her husband Barry Brown, sisters Barbara Kirk of Philadelphia and Cindy Nelson of Houston, brother Dave Bolt and wife Laura of New Jersey, sons Nathan Brown and wife Melissa of Caney City, Juan Duran and wife Tiffany of College Station, Shawn Duran and wife Tina of Payne Springs, William Brown and wife Hyuna of Colorado and Jose Daley and wife Barbara of Carthage, daughter Dorinda McLeod of New Braunfels, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends. 
Visitation will be from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at Moorehead Funeral Home in Gun Barrel City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Cedar Creek Community Church in Mabank (formally Harbor Baptist Church). 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
