Bernice was born Jan. 16, 1926 in Lamar to parents James Luther and Sallie Bernice (Rainey) Dearing and entered into eternal rest on Aug. 5, 2017 at the age of 91.
Bernice was the most loving and Godly lady, she always put everyone else’s needs before her own. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Bernice had many talents and was very creative. She was an artist and enjoyed oil painting. She loved to dance and listen to music and had quite a collection of music. Her favorite was listening to her children sing.
Bernice loved to read, especially the Bible, and her favorite color was pink. She was a fancy little lady that liked getting pretty, but don’t be fooled, she was a fighter and a prayer warrior that loved the Lord with all her heart.
Bernice worked for JC Penney for 30 years before retiring. She volunteered at the VA Hospital for five years. Bernice was Baptist by faith and was a member of First Baptist Church of Eustace. She was an inspiration to many and she will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, the girl’s father Fred Stanford and husband Billy Tinsley.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara Cole and husband Don of Holly Lake Ranch, daughter Connie Dunn and husband Jerry of Eustace, grandchildren Sally, Cindi, Susan, Carrie, Donny, Chris, Jerrad and Kenzie, 24 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren, sister Rita Henry of Marshall, sister Virginia Howard and husband R.D. of Beaumont, brother Wayne Dearing of Abilene, other loving family members and many more friends.
