Bulldogs celebrate 100th win

EUSTACE- March 21 was a day to celebrate despite the Eustace Bulldog baseball game loss to the visiting Malakoff Tigers, 17-4.
Prior to the games start players congratulated Bulldogs Head Coach Chris Powers for his 100th win by presenting him a plaque.
Malakoff took the lead early with two runs in the first inning, and one more in the top of the second. Eustace battled back and took the lead in the bottom of the second inning with four runs. The Bulldogs led 4-3.
The Tigers tied things up in the top of the third for a 4-4 lock.
In the fourth inning, the Tigers just kept getting hit after hit. A total of 12 Malakoff players crossed the plate to score runs. Malakoff scored one more run in the fifth inning for the 17-4 final before the game was called due to the run-rule.
Forrest Lane was a bright spot for the Bulldogs, going 2-3 with two RBIs. Ryan Brown drove in one run on one hit. Chance Scott, DJ Hocutt and Shane Braddy crossed the plate to score runs. Pitcher Rogers Rusty took the loss.
