MABANK–Lakeview Elementary School third and fourth grade fine art students, representing Mabank Independent School District (ISD), competed Dec. 5, in the University Interscholastic League (UIL)) Music Memory and Art Smart District meet in Brownsboro and received excellent scores.
Third grader Aubree Logan received a perfect individual score earning her first place in UIL third grade Music Memory.”
Her first place medal signified her win in the competition.
Fourth grader Han Nguyen was awarded third place in the fourth grade portion of the Art Smart competition.
Third grade Music Memory students competing in the contest were Emma Barakat, Trinity Wennerstrom, Bailee Smith, Emily Forbes, Alyssa Ansley, Aubree Logan and Amity Powell.
Fourth grade Music Memory students were Elizabeth White, Jessica Landtroop, Hailey Thomas, Christian Boatright and Logan Atkinson.
Art Smart students were Han Nguyen, Brianna Ramsey and Chelcie Collum.
Students spent many hours practicing to represent Lakeview and Mabank ISD in the extremely difficult competition.
The talented and hard working students did an outstanding job and were encouraged by parents and other family members who helped and supported the students during their preparation for the competition.
Lakeview staff, fine arts teacher and music memory coach Sharon Fisher are extremely proud of these students.
