Huckeba was born July 27, 1934, in Winnsboro, to Evelyn (Roberts) and Woodrow William Huckeba, and died Feb. 7, 2014.
He was known as “Grandpa” and “Gpa” by his grandchildren and “Paw Paw” by his great-grandchildren.
He enjoyed playing and singing country and gospel music. He liked dirt track racing and having fun with friends and family on his barge.
He enjoyed traveling, camping and being outdoors. He worked in sales in the lumber business for more than 40 years. Most of that time was at Kuhn Brothers Lumber. He was highly praised for his salesmanship.
He was a Baptist by faith and attended First Baptist Church in Gun Barrel City. He was a loving caring man who will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Shirley Wade, mother and father-in-law, and sister-in-law Jan Bell.
Survivors include his loving wife. Shirley Huckeba, of Gun Barrel City; sons Randy Huckeba and wife Gloria of Mesquite, Tony Huckeba and wife Annette of Caddo Mills; grandchildren Chris and wife Jessica, Candi, Nick and wife Kristyn, Andrew and wife Celaina, and Ashley and husband Phil; great-grandchildren Carlee, Julie, Ashtyn, Audrey, Cooper, Olivia and Ellie; sister Betty Watkins and husband Willie of Winnsboro, half-brother Rick Bell, half-sister Margaret Bell, other loving family members and many friends.
