EUSTACE–The Eustace girls cross country team was recognized for their state-best performance last November with championship rings Jan. 28.
The team defeated Holliday by two points at the state 2A title race in Round Rock with a team time of 1:04.13.
Part of what makes this team so special is the youth of the group. The Lady Bulldogs are five freshmen and a lone sophomore.
Principal Stan Sowers presented the rings to athletes Skye Burns, Chanda Westbrook, Breanna Ragan, Shelby White, Alyssa Shaddox, sophomore Chloe Moore and coaches Josh Sypert and Kenneth Henderson.
