Luncheon benefits Friends of the Animals

GUN BARREL CITY–Johnette Betts and Susann Petras were the first place winning team at the 34th Friends of the Animals at Cedar Creek Lake Bridge Luncheon fundraiser Dec. 5 at Vetoni’s Italian Restaurant in Gun Barrel City.
Players enjoyed coffee and doughnuts upon arrival, a delicious lunch prepared by Vetoni’s, and fabulous cupcakes, courtesy of Dot Irwin for dessert.
A vast array of prizes were available for selection by the first 15 winning teams. For any slam bid and made, the team received a prize.
The following volunteers contributed to the success of Bridge Day: Tenny Roche, Joy Simmons, Kitty Whitted, Sandy Ward, Roberta Hoffbauer, Mollie Norton, Barbara Austin and Sally Chapman.
Friends of the Animals at Cedar Creek Lake Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic is a non-profit organization that has spayed or neutered almost 30,000 animals over the past 12 years, to help control the pet population.
This organization was formed to help low-income families be responsible pet owners by offering low-cost spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations.
