Eustace opens district play with a win

EUSTACE–The Eustace Lady Bulldogs opened their District 13-2A volleyball schedule with a three-game win over the visiting Scurry-Rosser Lady Wildcats Tuesday.
The Lady ’Dogs started game on with a strong peerformance and powerful offense.
The Scurry girls battled back, making a game of it until Eustace found their rhythm and rolled to a 25-19 win.
In game two, Eustace kept the Lady Wildcats at bay, winning 25-14.
Scurry looked to be out of step in the third game, and the Lady Bulldogs’ game just got stronger as they cruised to a 25-9 win.
In the match, Lady Bulldog Caitlyn Culp had three kills and three blocks.
Grace Holcombe, Peyton Dibari and Taylor Peebles each had two kills. Peebles also had two blocks, while Dibari added a dig.
MeaganGunter added one kill, while Ashleigh White and Crystal Garza each had a dig.
Eustace visited Kemp Friday, and will return to action Sept. 10 when they travel to Dallas to face Hampton Prep.
