Hamrick was born June 30, 1933, in Mabank, to Lavada (Poss) and Elliot Taylor, and died June 24, 2013.
She was a wonderful mother and a very gracious woman, who had a big heart and was the matriarch of the family.
She was also stubborn, but witty with a genuine sense of humor. She always spoke her mind.
She enjoyed music, especially Tracy Byrd. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR, baseball, football and was a fan of the Longhorns.
She graduated from Mabank High School and worked as an assembly worker before becoming a Ferrod switch operator at AT&T.
She was Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hamrick, parents, sister Helen Halcro and brother John Taylor.
Survivors include her sons Ronnie Hamrick and wife Sharron of Richardson, Randy Hamrick and wife Lynn of Mesquite, Alan Hamrick and wife Jennifer of North Richland Hills; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brother Carl Taylor and wife Rae of Athens; other loving family members and many friends.
