Mabank Post Office letter carriers, under the direction of Postmaster Janet Johnson, collected 9,268 pounds of nonperishable food stuff Saturday in the annual “Stamp Out Hunger” campaign. They are pictured along with representatives from three local food pantry organizations: Christian Life Center, Mabank Area Good Samaritans and Care and Share. On May 11, Boy Scouts from Troop 333 helped letter carriers unload their collections at the post office for weighing, and on Monday, Mabank City workers packed the comestibles into trucks and delivered them to the food pantries.
