Killpatrick was born June 24, 1926, in Kaufman County, and died peacefully April 12, 2013, in Smith County.
He married Bobby Don Mathis in 1947 and moved from Pleasant Grove to Eustace, in 1959. They had two children, Karen Tumlinson and Steve Bell.
He co-owned Bolin and Killpatrick construction in the Cedar Creek Lake area for 25 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a 50-year Mason. He respectfully served as Henderson County Constable for 16 years.
He married Mary Corry King in 2003. He enjoyed traveling as a 30-year member of the Cedar Creek Lakers RV Club and was a member of the Cross Roads United Methodist Church.
His enjoyed his family, his farm in Eustace and armchair coaching from home for the Rangers, Mavericks, and Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by wife of 49 years, Bobby, son Steve Bell of Eustace and sisters Hazel Wiley, and Dot Roby.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Mary Corry King Killpatrick; daughters Karen Tumlinson and husband Noel, Debbie and Gary Reaves, Jody King, all of Athens; grandchildren Wesley Don Ashton, Bobby Karl and Carla Ashton, Steven and Norma Bell and Justin and Julie Bell, Jonathan and Ryan Davis, Alicia and Zachary King; nine great-grandchildren; daughter-in law Mary Bell, of Eustace; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Bobby Karl and Wesley Don Ashton, Steven and Justin Bell, Lonnie Bubba Byers and Stephen Cash.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 14270 Hwy 59, Athens, TX 75751.
