Herron was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Milam County, to Allene and Sammy Hobbs, and died March 26, 2013.
She was known by her grandchildren as “Meme,” and was a hard working, very independent and stubborn lady.
She enjoyed children and many referred to her as a “professional mother.”
She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing and was a wonderful seamstress. She participated in bake sales and crocheted hair bows for the Mabank High School Ladies Basketball Team.
She was a Baptist by faith and lived everyday with joy in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey “Richard” Herron Sr., her parents, brother Wayne Hobbs and daughter Vicki Meazell.
Survivors include her sons, Due Wane Meazell Jr. and wife Clara of West Tawakani, Allen Meazell and wife Nicole of Granbury; daughter Tammie Duckworth and husband Duane of Euless; grandchildren Crystal and Amanda Meazell; 13 other grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Royce Hobbs of Kaufman, Bill Hobbs of Waxahachie; other loving family members and many friends.
