Panthers fall to Van

MABANK–The hosting Mabank Panther baseball team fell to the Van Vandals 6-1 Thursday.
Van scored the first five runs of the game – one run in the top of the second, one in the third and three in the top of the fifth.
Mabank’s run came in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI by Luke Winklevoss.
Van added one more run in the top of the seventh inning.
Mabank had four hits against the Vandals. Luke Winklevoss had a hit, Ty Winklevoss had a hit, Garrett Holcomb had one and Peyton Lee had one.
Cody Kuykendall scored the Mabank run.
The loss puts Mabank at 7-14 on the season.
The Panthers will travel to Mineola to face the Yellowjackets April 5.
