Lady ’Jackets rally, Lady ’Dogs hold on for win

EUSTACE–The hosting Eustace Lady Bulldogs defeated the Kemp Lady Yellowjackets 12-1 Tuesday.
The Kemp Lady Yellowjacket softball team rallied late in the game to tie the game at 11-11. after Eustace lead through six innings.
In the top of the seventh inning, with the Lady ’Dogs on top 11-7, Kemp’s offense rallied, scoring four runs.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, however, Eustace’s Kacie Richards reached base and Chelsea Oldham hit a double in the bottom of the seventh inning scoring Kasey Richards to end the game.
Eustace pitcher Casey Bramblitt was the winning pitcher, striking out eight batters.
Shelby Marcum had three RBIs, Ashleigh White had two RBIs and Oldham had two.
Eustace catcher White threw out two Kemp baserunners at second base.
