Billy Ray Bryant

Bryant was born July 8, 1928, and died March 7, 2013, at his home with his family and friends by his side.
He valiantly battled cancer for more than a year, never complaining and always smiling.
He retired from Lone Star Gas in 1991 after 34 years of dedicated service. He was a devoted husband, loving father and friend to all.
He was an avid race car fan and driver and also enjoyed fishing, gardening and home projects. His most recent passion was mentoring neighborhood kids in car restoration, welding and general maintenance.
He also enjoyed researching and watching antique car shows and programs.
He was preceded in death by his adoring wife Patsy, his parents, sisters Margie, Nelda and Dell, and brother Charles.
Survivors include his son, David Bryant, and wife Hope; daughter Vicki Bryant Thomas and husband Terry; grandson David Ray Bryant, Jr. and wife Rebecca; and four granddaughters.
