Services for Johnny B. Overton, 38, of Malakoff, were held March 6, at Petersburg Baptist Church in Athens with Rev. Jackie Coleman officiating under the direction of Cain-Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home.
Overton was born Jan. 5,1975, and died Feb. 27, 2013, in a local hospital.
He attended Malakoff schools and worked as a janitor.
Survivors include his mother, Sarah Overton of Malakoff; sisters Debra Young and husband Joe of Malakoff, and Carolyn Killingsworth of Athens; brothers Jimmy Overton and wife Nikkita of Dallas, Michael Young of Trinidad, Booker Ballard of Corsicana and Joe Young and wife Toni of Katy.
