Murder reward raised to $100,000

KAUFMAN–Kaufman County Crime Stoppers has raised the reward to $100,000 for any information leading to the arrest and indictment of suspects in the murder of assistant district attorney Mark Hasse.
About 8:30 a.m. Jan. 31, Hasse, 57, was walking across the county parking lot to the Kaufman County Courthouse when he was assaulted and shot multiple times. Hasse, a felony prosecutor, had been with the Kaufman County District Attorney’s office since 2010.
Witnesses reported seeing unknown assailants, dressed all in black, wearing masks and one seen wearing a tactical vest to Kaufman Police Department. An all-points bulletin was issued for two males, believed to be driving a silver or brown-colored older-model Ford Taurus with no license plates.
Both police and Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office are asking the public’s help in finding the suspects who fled the scene.
