Dorothy Krouse

Graveside services for Dorothy Krouse, 98, of Gun Barrel City, were held Feb. 20, 2013, at Forreston Cemetery in Ellis County.
Krouse was born Oct. 7, 1914, in Italy, to Kate (Bullen) and Jake LaNier and died peacefully at her residence Feb. 17, 2013.
She loved her family and work, retiring from Safeway after 34 years. She enjoyed baking, embroidering and crocheting. She enjoyed fishing trips with her daughter. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Helen Hamlin and brothers Richard and H.L. LaNier.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Cox; grandchildren Gloria Woppman and husband Glenn of Plano, Lance Jackson and wife Kim of Rockwall, Chris Cox and wife Shelly of Leander; great-grandchildren Alexia, Rachel, Mitchell, Jake, Kaylee and Presley; many other family members and friends.
