Special to The Monitor
CEDAR CREEK LAKE–Northland Communications second annual toy drive, Nov. 19- Dec. 14, was a great success.
Northland, with the help of the Cedar Creek Lake community, collected more than $1,200 worth of toys to donate to local children’s charities for Christmas.
The toys were delivered to the Family Resource Center and the Christian Life Center Dec. 18.
Northland customers received free installation on their services by donating a $20 toy.
The Northland employees were moved by the generosity of their customers and the community. Toys ranged from play kitchens and Hot Wheel tracks, to Baby Alive Dolls.
Some customers went above and beyond the $20 minimum, bringing multiple toys or higher-priced items.
“Our local Northland employees, including myself, are overjoyed with the response to the toy drive,” Northland marketing coordinator Kelsey Teel said.
“The quality of toys we collected was outstanding, and we were so happy to pass them on to great organizations like the Family Resource Center and Christian Life Center, where they will be given to children who truly need them. We sincerely thank the community for their participation in giving this Holiday season,” Teel added.
