Eva TarnoServices for Eva Nell Tarno, 92, were held Dec. 2, 2012, at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brent Tucker officiating. Interment followed the service at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Tarno was born Sept. 6, 1920, in Canton, to Alpha Omega Cartright and David Elmo and died peacefully in Mabank.
She loved to sew for others in the community. She was a Christian by faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Mabank. She loved her family, church and friends dearly. She also loved the people at Mabank Nursing Home, who loved and took care of her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Tarno, son David Tarno, her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her son, B.H. Tarno and wife Sandra, of Euless; daughter Pam Hyde and husband J.K., of Mabank; grandchildren Lisa, Kandy, Crystal, Ben, Jennifer, John David, Stacy, Scott, Katie, and Emily; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many loving family members and many friends.
