Teddy Ewalt

Services for Teddy Adell Ewalt, 80, of Dallas, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at the Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel in Seagoville. Interment will follow in the Ware Cemetery near Kemp, under the direction of Roselawn Funeral Home.
Ewalt was born Dec. 3, 1931, in Dallas, to Clara (Smith) and George Raymond Ewalt and died Nov. 13, 2012, in Seagoville.
He was a graduate of Crozier Tech High School in Dallas and joined the United States Air Force serving his country during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from the City of Dallas as a painter, a hobby he took to heart, as he enjoyed not only painting residential and commercial but art as well.
He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church in Kleberg and married Joy Oakley in 1952 in Rockwall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Samuel Walter Ewalt and brother Jimmy Wilburn Ewalt.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Joy Ewalt, of Dallas; daughter Ginger Opielowski and husband Stanley of Dallas; sons Rodney Dale Ewalt and wife Debbie of Kemp, Daniel Joseph Ewalt and wife Terri of Tinley Park, Ill., Charlie David Ewalt of Dallas and Timothy Paul Ewalt of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister Norma Freeman of Dallas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and relatives.
