Charles CookServices for Charles “Red” Cook, 82, of Gun Barrel City, were held Nov. 17, 2012, at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel with Rev. Michael Howard officiating. Interment followed at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Cook was born Feb. 2, 1930, in Carrollton, to Frances and Truman Cook and died Nov. 7, 2012.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter. His also enjoyed fishing, selling goods at local flea markets, training Quarter Horses, gardening, yard work, riding bicycles and walking.
He enjoyed talking about politics, listening to music, and in his younger years, playing guitar and fiddle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ernest Cook.
Survivors include his wife, Runelle, of Gun Barrel City; daughters Sheryl Cook of Irving, Dena Byrum and husband Ray of Meansville, Ga.; granddaughter Christina Dozier of Arlington; sisters Maylene Johnson of Yantis, Eldora Logston of Mount Pleasant, Bobbie Sexton of Lewisville; one niece; many nephews, other family members and friends.
