Maxine DeRossettServices for Maxine “Shorty” DeRossett, 76, of Dallas, were held Nov. 15, 2012, at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jerry Reynolds officiating.
DeRossett was born March 19, 1936, in Joaquin, to Gracie Lee and Herman Freeman and died Nov. 12, 2012, at Heritage Manor in Canton.
She resided in Timpson, Paris, Taylor, Angleton, and San Antonio, prior to moving to Dallas in 1947.
She worked for the Dallas Stove Hospital, Adams Hat Company, Nations Bank and Bank of America, until her retirement in 2001. She moved to Mabank and in her spare time, enjoyed spending time with her sons, grandchildren and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Gerald Freeman and Don “Butch” Freeman.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby DeRossett and wife Dianne of Wylie, and Bubba DeRossett and wife Lynn of Mabank; grandchildren Amanda and Brent DeRossett of Dallas, and Jacob DeRossett of Mabank; sisters Jimmie Hagle and husband Jim, Tommie Mooneyhan and husband Mike of Canton; nieces Carla, Shannon, Erin, Donna and Jana.
