Bobby WaldropServices for Bobby Jean Waldrop, 66, of Kemp, were held Nov. 12, 2012, at the Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel in Kemp with Rev. James Ragsdale officiating. Interment followed in King Cemetery.
Waldrop was born Oct. 31, 1946, in Houston to Evangline Morgan and Gordon Blissett and died Nov. 7, 2012, with her loving family by her side.
She attended Galena Park Schools and worked in sewing factories around Cedar Creek Lake.
She was known for her “gift of gab” and was never unclear on her opinion. She enjoyed traveling on short road trips and watching Jeopardy and Diners, Drive-in’s and Dives.
Her greatest love was Christmas and having all her family over.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Janice Henderson, brother Perry Blissett, sisters Janice Gates and Wonda Blissett and grandson Timothy Dover.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Robert Waldrop Jr.; children Cecil Barnes of Irving, Barbara and Melinda, both of Seven Points; brother Roy of Houston; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
