SEVEN POINTS–Women heard how to feel and look better at the Women’s Health Seminar hosted by Better Body Basics Fitness and Wellness Center Oct. 26 in Seven Points.
“I promote health from inside out,” guest speaker from Canton, Jenneane Puckett said. “What goes inside your body affects the outside.”
“Women wear so many hats and have so many things pulling on them,” Puckett explained and encouraged women to refuel their tanks with adequate rest, working out and eating right.
“Ninety percent of your aging comes from the sun and the environment, while 10 percent comes from your genes,” Puckett said. “It is our environment that determines your healthy way to look great.”
Puckett suggests eating good antioxidants and to avoid whey, soy and milk. She also suggests giving up antiperspirant deodorants because of the aluminum seeping into the body and to use natural products instead.
“Get rid of toxins by detoxing for 30 days – no dairy, no sugar, no caffeine, no diet soda drinks,” Puckett said. “ Get rid of the toxins in your body and eat a healthy diet to reduce your fat.”
Puckett also recommends using products that are chemical-free, dye-free and fragrance-free.
“Be aware of chemicals in products that you use in everyday living,” Puckett warned and suggested using vinegar and baking soda as cleaning products.
