GUN BARREL CITY–Police are looking for a man captured on surveillance video at the Shell Station at the corner of state highways 198 and 334 around 8 p.m. Sunday night.
He is wanted in connection with an armed robbery there.
Gun Barrel City assistant police chief Larry Warrick describes him as Caucasian, 5-10 and probably around 160 pounds.
From his demeanor on the video, police believe the suspect is well practiced at these types of holdups. They also suspect that he was using a semiautomatic pistol when he confronted the clerk from behind the counter.
“He’s friendly and doesn’t seem the least bit nervous,” Warrick points out to The Monitor, while viewing the video on his computer screen. “He may not even be from around here,” he added.
