Stanley ShawServices for Stanley “Bubba” Clyde Shaw Sr., 84, of Seven Points, were held Oct. 6, 2012, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Gun Barrel City with Pastor Scott Schaller officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville.
Shaw was born Dec. 28, 2012, to Ada Mary (Fettie) and John Robert Shaw, Sr. and died Oct. 2, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother John Robert Shaw, Jr.
He was a loving father, devoted husband, and faithful worker in his church.
He was a proud Navy Veteran who served in World War II, as a seaman.
After his discharge from the military, he owned and operated Shaw’s Ark Electric, where his slogan was, “If you have a spark, call Shaw’s Ark.”
He was also a lineman for Dallas Power and Light Company and Amp Telecom.
Later, worked in insurance and sold Medicare Supplements as well as prearranged funerals.
He was immensely involved at his church and an instrumental part of the church’s development from the electrical wiring of St. Peter’s Educational Wing to the designated “Dough Boy” in the kitchen where he enjoyed helping the women cook or performing as the great magician, Abbub Wahs.
He served as a scripture reader, Interim Lay Pastor, usher, Chairman of the Elders, as well as the Director of Education and even drove the church van.
He also gave of his time at the Kemp Nursing Home, leading devotions and song.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Anna Shaw; son Stanley Shaw and wife Jeannine; daughter Cheri Lynn Brewster and husband Eric; grandchildren Tiffany Shaw and husband Michael King, Justin Shaw and wife Angela, Heath Holt, Heather Holt and husband Scott Lee, Shannon Britt Morales, Cody Vincent and Kelsey Ruth Vincent; great-grandchildren Brandon Michael King, Keira Nicole King, Holt Edward Lee, Brynn Cheri Lee, Rheanna Jade Galusha, Isaiah Britt Morales and a baby due in April 2013; extended family and his beloved dog “Lil Ann.”
