Linda KuykendallServices for Linda Lou Kuykendall, 55, of Gun Barrel City, were held Oct. 3, 2012, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Kuykendall was born Jan. 10, 1957, in Paris, to Roxie Geraldine and Ed McDonald and died Sept. 29, 2012, after a very courageous battle with cancer.
She enjoyed her family and considered her nieces and nephews as her own children. She enjoyed fishing, and arts and crafts, especially painting. She also enjoyed music and singing.
She attended cosmetology school, and received a Texas real estate license and a medical assistant certification from Tyler Jr. College.
She also held the state record for the High Fin Blue Catfish for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father and brothers Jerry McDonald and two infant brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, David Kuykendall of Gun Barrel City; her mother of Payne Springs; brothers Charlie McDonald and wife Elaine of Flag Lake, Robert McDonald and wife Belle of Frankston and Tommy McDonald of Mabank; sisters Debbie Glaze and husband Donnie of Tennessee, Sandra Hassell and husband David of Mabank; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
