Special to The Monitor
GUN BARREL CITY–The Family Resource Center is putting together its annual “Back-to-School Program.”
School begins Aug. 27 this year, and the center is partnering with the Southwest Water Company, Inc., and St. James Episcopal Church.
Churches, organizations and individual volunteers are needed to prepare and distribute clothing for needy children.
Fr. Jerry Morriss challenges other area churches to pledge their assistance in this meaningful outreach program.
“The need is great and we need as many people as possible to step up and offer their help,” Morriss said.
Children’s clothing needed includes socks, boys and girls underwear, shoes or new clothing of any kind in all sizes.
